Immigration Check-in

Immigration Check-in is required by law for all new F-1 and J-1 international students (including transfers). The check-in requirement is different from the International Orientation. If you have any questions about check-in or orientation, please contact International Services.

For the appointment, please bring:

  1. Passport
  2. Visa
  3. I-20 or DS-2019
  4. I-94 (with travel history) available
  5. Present semester course schedule

Returning F-1 and J-1 students are required to complete a limited check-in. For the appointment please bring:

  1. Visa
  2. I-94 (with travel history) available  
  3. Present semester course schedule

At this appointment, advise the International Services if there are any changes in address, work, or if an extension is needed.
