Accommodations Process
Requesting Accommodations
The Accessibility Resource Center (ARC) works with students with verified disabilities, medical conditions, mental health conditions, and other qualifying diagnoses to provide reasonable accommodations and ensure equal access to university programs and services.
To begin the accommodation process, students must first submit an Accommodation Request Form through Accommodate, Bellarmine's secure accommodation management system.
Next Steps:
- Review: Students will receive a confirmation email once the Accommodation Request Form has been submitted. After the ARC reviews the request, the student will receive an email with information about their documentation status and instructions for scheduling an intake meeting.
- Documentation: If sufficient documentation was not uploaded with the Accommodation Request Form, the ARC will provide information about the additional documentation needed. Documentation is required before accommodations can be approved. For more information, please visit our documentation guidelines page.
- Meet: Students must meet with an ARC staff member before accommodations can be approved. During this meeting, we will discuss disability-related needs and accommodations requests.
- Determination: Following the interactive process, approved accommodations will be implemented and shared through Accommodate
Returning Students
Students who are already registered with the ARC can log in to using their Bellarmine email address and password to manage accommodations and access ARC services.
Students with approved academic accommodations must renew their accommodations each semester to maintain active status. To renew accommodations, students must submit a semester renewal request and schedule a renewal meeting with an ARC staff member through Accommodate.
