Emily Bryant, who graduates this week with a degree in accounting, spoke with Bellarmine Magazine's weekly podcast, .

PineapplePodcastBryant says growing up on a farm and watching her dad work 80-hour weeks provided some unique preparation for the long hours she'll sometimes work as an accountant.

She was very familiar with Bellarmine when she arrived on campus, thanks to a program at Eminence High School that allowed her to take classes on Bellarmine's campus twice a week.

"Since I was on campus, I kind of got to see what it was like," she said. "I've always wanted small -- I went to a small high school -- and I liked that it was in Louisville so there's plenty of career opportunities around here, and the academics were awesome."

Thanks to Bellarmine's internship programs, Bryant is graduating with a job already lined up.

"When I graduate, I will be a tax accountant with Ernst & Young, a big four accounting firm," she said. "The way accounting works, a lot of times if you can get the internship, most of the time you can get a job offer. It's nice to not have to worry about that. I'm currently studying for my CPA, so I'm worried about that."
